Life…

with my crew is a lot of things.

Boring is not one of them.

So for this school year we have (or had) football, volleyball, cheer, dance, gymnastics, art class, tae kwon do and basketball. Some of those are for one kid. Others are for multiple kids.

Coop is in Tae Kwon Do. It is so cute!!! And he’s learning some great discipline!

Stormy has been in rec. gymnastics for a year now. She still loves it and has improved a lot. I’m thinking of trying a couple more things for her. We are hoping we can find her thing. If her thing ends up being that she’s just a good kid, then I’m cool with that! Stormy also sings in the 5th grade music group, the Treblemakers. Oh yeah—she’s getting ready to start volleyball in a rec club.

Shayne has been the busiest I think. Volleyball, basketball, cheerleading so far.20141004_11102920140908_16472520141103_16291020141213_112734

Connor did flag football and is starting basketball now. Games don’t start until January! But he loves both. He also tried the art class. It was NOT his thing! HA!

Sage and Stormy did a little cheer clinic. They both loved it!

20140926_193259

Sage is also in dance again. She is a pretty dancer! She tried the art class too. Not her thing!

20141205_193540

And no. I’m not leaving her out.

20141216_075014

She’s been busy too. Just being a normal 2 year old. Which is crazy stuff I tell you!

So there you have in a nutshell what my crew does to stay busy. There’s loads more normal stuff…

Cleaning.

Having friends over.

Going to friends.

Going to birthday parties.

Going to the ER.

Ya know…the normal stuff.

And yes. I will tell you about the ER trip in just a bit!

Again…

So let’s back up a little.

Because I didn’t blog when my darling baby turned 2. It’s amazing how fast time flies when you have kids. How fast it feels.

So this year for the theme, we (which means I) chose ladybugs. Why? I haven’t used that theme yet. And with my crew, I’ve used a lot! I’ve had 2 repeat themes too (the pirate theme).  Also the reason I chose this theme…a little boutique I shopped in was closing and they had a pettiskirt on sale for $10 and they're normally $50! It was red and black…a super easy decision that was made almost a year before the party!

So here’s a little more on the ladybug birthday theme.

(it looks completely blown in this upload. It’s not. It’s actually much cuter in person!!)

Here’s the invite. (The bottom right had all the details…address, phone number etc.)

Here’s her cake. I wasn’t that impressed this time with the Hy-Vee cake. It was cute but…

20141116_165219

The candy tray and the plates. I ordered those plates specifically because they had 2 ladybugs on them!

And I didn’t take too many other photos. It was a simple party with just a few friends and a few family members. And it was wonderful!

She’s 2.

And she’s fast. she's a tad bit naughty. she giggles. she eats everything. she talks a lot. she can be mean. she loves her older siblings. she is our darling little Lovey. And we couldn't love her more.

Wow.

I can’t even remember the last blog I did. Must’ve been one of the kids birthdays. I’m too lazy to check it now though.

Yes. I am still here. Unfortunately, the blog has been on the back burner (being burnt to a crisp at this point) while I’ve been taking care of life. It has definitely not been quiet or boring in my house (I just yelled to go to bed from my desk to one of the crew that is up). Busy beyond belief.

BUT, I am going to finish this year strong. Especially since I think this will be it for me and my blogging.

Here is one picture that I definitely want to share.

My crew and I.

So over the next 2 weeks, my goal is to blog, blog and blog some more.

Lots of catching up to do if I’m gonna finish strong!

Stay tuned!

Four.

Four years ago tonight, we welcomed this sweet little face into our family.154

Again…I already kinda knew him. I loved him before I ever saw his face. I loved him as soon as a test said what I already knew.

Sweet Super Cooper.

Yeah…that picture is a fresh picture of Coop.Right when everyone else got to meet him.

So crazy to think I wrote the two part sequence for his story. Check those out if you want a flashback in time…

Today he looks…

like an ornery, loved, cute, funny, tool carrying, bad word saying, super smart little 4-year-old boy.IMG_1403

And I love him with my whole heart.

6.

Yes. I have six kids. But that’s not what this post is about. This post is about #4.

Darling #4 that is.

Because she is 6 today.

Waaayyyy back on my old blog, I wrote about her BIRTHday.

Click this:

http://mommaoffour.blogspot.com/2009/09/september-9tha-very-special-day.html

And you can read all about her on the day she was born.

So cliché to say time flies. But it really does. Faster than one can imagine. Those moments when you want to just slow down and enjoy? They go the fastest.

I am blessed to have Sage as my own darling devil of a girl. She is sassy. She is beautiful. She is smart. She is sticky-fingered. She is curly-haired.She is a dancing machine. She is…Sage Ryanne. And we couldn’t love her more.

Sage Ryanne,

Thank you for blessing us with all of your Sage-ness every day. We can’t imagine life without you.

As big as the moon.

As far as the stars.

And more baby Sage.

Forever.

Love,

Momma

P.S. Yes. I do have pictures.

Here is one from Sunday…

This summer.

went by so fast.

Normally by August I am ready for the kids to be back in school, and have my “normal” routine.

Not this year.

A quick flashback of some of our summer activities…

The pool…many times. Not as many as it could’ve been. So next summer I will try to get to the pool more often.

So…there’s more. Of course. But…that’s what I have been up to. Definitely the opposite of boring.

Also---photograph taking…

Yes…something else I did a little of this summer.

IMG_3197editIMG_4014editIMG_4218

So…again…yep. I’ve been busy!

And now school’s back in.

And I have more to share.

Someone started middle school. Someone started her 3 year of middle school. Someone started third grade. Someone is finally in kindergarten. Time is flying!
