I had high hopes this year for Valentine’s Day for the kids.
After all…Pinterest has become an addiction for me and it had the cutest ideas for Valentine hand outs!
So I’m with the kids at the store and Connor sees Batman Valentines.
There’s one kid down.
I still have high hopes because I have two daughters that will surely let me help them with their Valentines.
Shayne sees these cell phone looking cards and that’s it for her.
Man. I was sad.
I look around. I spy my next target.
“Oh Stormy…sweet Stormy.”
“What Mom?”
“Do you want to have the little cereal boxes to handout for Valentine’s for your friends?”
“Can we eat some too?'”
“Yes.”
“Then that’s what I want.”
Oh—Thank you God for giving me such a little darling like Stormy!!!
So what exactly am I talking about?
This was Cinnamon Toast Crunch:
Cocoa Puffs for the next:
These are the party favor bags for Connor’s PM class.
They held a pencil, a pad of paper, a box of conversation hearts and a little puzzle thing.
What about the rest of the day?
That is a close up of the roses Paul got me.
Have you ever seen roses like that? I haven’t. But I love them!
Something else I love?
All 50 of those toes.
All 5 of these faces:
So much so that I even got them little bags for Valentine’s.
What Shayne is reading is a paper that says that she gets to pick two games for her iPod touch.
Stormy got the same.
They were both super happy (I don’t let them have any games that cost money because there are so many free apps out there…this was a special thing!).
Connor got these little packs of Lego’s. They make his whole face light up. Usually. This day he spent most of it on the couch with the “bowl.”
Anyways…the kids had a good Valentine’s day. I also got some super special loving from someone…
It’s okay to be jealous of that. I totally understand.
What a wonderful post and yes, I am jealous of the last picture...it's definately a keeper just like our Cooper!!
ReplyDeleteVery creative. You found your target. And only Sue would be motivated with food. Love the pic.
