I have a lot I could go on and on and on about. BUT it is a special day for us. And by us I mean, Paul and I.
Twelve years ago today…
With a flu bug biting me…
Paul and I said, “I Do.”
He cried and cried.
Not me.
I know he will love that I shared that info with you all.
There was a trash can behind the altar for me…just in case…the pastor didn’t want me running back through the sanctuary like I did before the ceremony.
I was determined to still make this the best day ever for me. After a massive dose of flu medicine and as little as possible in the food department I managed to dance…my booty off!
Yes…we did the chicken dance…the dollar dance…and of course…YMCA!
Paul and I danced to, “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. I still love that song.
The next picture of me makes me smile…
Why? We had just done the cake exchange of bites. I didn’t want to swallow it. So I grinned when one of my aunts came up to take my picture…cake in my cheeks.
I did eventually swallow the cake.
We danced and laughed and…
posed for photos…
So what do I say about marriage 12 years later.
It’s not easy.
It’s totally worth it.
So Paul…
I love you more today than even that day 12 years ago. Who knew that was possible?!? You are everything to me. Ups and downs. I can’t imagine our life any other way.
Always-
Debbie
Beautiful!
