Best of Friends and New Year’s Eve:

I am blessed to have my oldest daughter that has a best friend like the one she has.

Shayne spends almost as much time at her friend’s house as she does at home. She loves going over there.

Her best friend is Lexi. These girls. I cannot NOT smile when I hear them giggling. They, of course, get into little tiffs with each other. But the beauty of the friendship they have is that they get over it quickly.

On New Year’s Eve we invited Lexi and her family over to eat dinner and hang out.

It was a lot of fun. We introduced them to the Wii. They haven’t played it before. Watching Bill and Paul “bowl” was entertaining. And then Julie and I “bowled.” All the kids got turns. Shayne and Lexi. Jared and Madi (Lexi’s older siblings). Stormy and Connor. These were all great. However, the most funny thing to see was when I pulled out the kids’ new game they didn’t even know about. It was “Just Dance for Kids.”

No—this picture isn’t from that game. I just wanted to show you Stormy and Connor bowling. I didn’t get any of the dancing. I was laughing too hard.

We all watched and laughed and had a great time. It was a great New Year’s Eve. Bill, Julie and the kids (including Shayne) left at 11:30PM. We were all yawning like crazy.

We did manage to stay awake ‘til midnight. At 12:02AM—we all went to bed!

I didn’t want to get any farther into the New Year without posting about it!

I hope you had a great New Year’s Eve and Day. We are three days in and so far so good. HA!

Here’s to the whole year being full of friends and fun!
