A GOLDEN birthday…

For Shayne’s birthday, she chose a GOLDEN theme because it was her GOLDEN birthday.

Golden birthdays are where you turn the age of the day you were born. So…Shayne turned 11 on the 11th.

Anyways…that is what she chose.

She also chose 7 friends to come for the sleepover.

I got her out of school an hour early…so we could spend some time together and for pictures! (I will post those a little later). We decorated…

Here is Shayne with 6 of her friends. Not bad right? Invite 7 and 6 come? Pretty spectacular if you ask me.

We ate pizza and then did gifts.

Then it was time for cake!

I also LOVE how her cupcake cake turned out. You can’t see in the picture but there is a golden shimmer to it.

Guess what happened then? Paul got his call for work. So…it was me, our 6 kids and 6 more of Shayne’s friends.

But wait…

There are 7 friends in that picture with her.

Yep, her other friend was able to come just not until late.

Shayne was so happy.

A lucky birthday girl she was.

And me?

I only came downstairs a few times. Once was at 2:30 to tell them, “SHHHHHH,” and then again a little while later to make sure they had all gone to sleep…they had.

It was a great golden birthday for Shayne!
