This year we celebrated at my twin’s house. She is only 5 minutes from where we live so it made it easier for me…originally we were going to have Thanksgiving at our house. But Saylor only being 10 days old…it would have been a lot. So…Bonnie volunteered!
Here is turkey #6 in her first outfit. Is she not to die for?!?!
I must tell you…I am thankful for so many things. But probably the top of my list is what’s in the photo below:
I love them more than they realize. They are beautiful…yes, on the outside (biased a little). More importantly…they are beautiful on the inside. And if I do nothing else right…at least I have that!
My Mom and Saylor.
My oldest sister, Mary. She got to meet Saylor on Thanksgiving and gave her the cutest gift!
I will have to share photos of it!
My nieces (Mary’s daughters) were very excited about Saylor.
How many kids is a lot?
How about this?
A tradition in our family is the kids get goody bags for their Christmas present from our side of the family. So…each family grouping (Mary, Leslie, Bonnie and I (this year…our brother couldn’t come ) puts little gifts into goody bags. The kids are super excited by these little things. Isn’t that what Christmas is about? Anyway, we celebrate Christmas on this side of the family on Thanksgiving so…the kids get goody bags!
Cooper had a blast playing with his cousin, Darin. Darin being a great young man…was happy to deal with Coop as well!
Saylor and her Thanksgiving meal.
Saylor’s second Thanksgiving outfit. She needed it {ahem} after a diaper change. I love it. It was a gift from someone very special to us!
After we left Bonnie’s house it was time to head to my mother-in-law’s house.
Cooper napped on his cousin, Donnie.
Saylor napped on me.
My girls ate oranges.
Connor was too busy for a picture. So was Sage.
And then it was time to go home.
We did manage a quick stop to see some Christmas lights.
The kids were so excited!
It was a long day.
A great day with so much to be thankful for.
I hope your Thanksgiving was as blessed as ours!
Love, love, love this post and the pictures! I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful (and beautiful) family!
ReplyDeleteThere were no fights and the only plate to get spilled was done outside...with 19 kids there! Woohoo! (Alayna spilled a cup of water in the kitchen but I knew she was gonna do something!)
